Water samples normal, corona tests negative

A previously unknown disease is rife in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. At least one 45-year-old man is said to have died, according to media reports, and around 200 people had to be hospitalized. The video shows the pictures of the emergency on site.

In a report by the Indian news agency “Press Trust of India” it is said that the disease first appeared on Saturday evening in the city of Eluru. The symptoms ranged from nausea and anxiety to unconsciousness. A 45-year-old man was admitted to the hospital with symptoms similar to epilepsy, with nausea and unconsciousness and died there on Saturday evening.

Experts are currently trying to track down the cause of the disease. Water samples were taken in affected areas, but they were inconspicuous. The sick patients were also all tested negative for the corona virus.
