The election in the co-determining state of Arizona is a big step closer to a decision. After hours of waiting, the most populous constituency, Maricopa County, is reporting tens of thousands of votes at once. Donald Trump can further reduce his deficit on Joe Biden in the state, but the trend speaks more for Biden. The Democrat receives around 31,000 more votes, the Republican incumbent around 38,000, as reported by CNN. This brings Trump up to almost 30,000 votes to Biden. But: Although Trump usually got a little more votes than Biden in the most recent counts, he would have to drastically improve his quota for the votes still remaining in the county in order to catch up with the Democrats. According to CNN, this is “statistically unlikely”. Nevertheless, the race remains “too close to call” for the time being.
