According to this, the US company Nvidia has developed a version of its “Geforce Now” cloud system, via which Fortnite will also be playable on Apple’s Safari browser in the future. Unlike the cloud gaming services from Google or Amazon, “Geforce Now” also hosts Fortnite. Fortnite has not been available in the app store for iPhone users since August. The background is a dispute about the distribution of profits: Epic Games wanted to bypass the commission to Apple with a technical trick in the course of an update. Apple demands 30 percent of the revenue that app manufacturers generate on the company’s platforms. A number of processes followed, which Apple has so far won.

Fortnite can currently be played on Apple Macbooks via Nvidia’s cloud system. According to the BBC report, Nvidia could offer Fortnite on its platform before the start of the winter holidays – and thus make the game accessible to iPhone owners.
