A senior Pentagon official has been infected with the Sars-CoV-2 pathogen. As the “New York Times” reports, Anthony J. Tata was allegedly infected at a meeting with the Lithuanian Defense Minister Raimundas Karoblis on November 13th. The latter also met with the interim Secretary of Defense, Christopher C. Miller, and other high-ranking US military personnel. According to a spokesman, the Pentagon had been informed on Thursday that Karoblis had tested positive for the corona virus. The contact persons affected were then tested in the USA. An infection could only be detected with Tata. He is now in two-week quarantine. The 61-year-old ex-army general is one of those Trump loyalists who have been assigned positions in the US Department of Defense in the past few days.
