The spread of Covid-19 in the worst affected areas is now shifting from the younger age groups of adults to the elderly. And “just as night follows day, the number of deaths will also increase,” warns the epidemiologist. “We are at a similar tipping point in our national fight against Covid-19 as we were in March. But we can prevent history from repeating itself if we all act now.” Meanwhile, the UK government plans to tighten local restrictions. Prime Minister Boris Johnson plans to present the measures tomorrow.
