According to insiders, the EU Commission assumes that not enough vaccine doses will be available for the entire EU population by the end of 2021. A representative of the Commission announced this to EU diplomats on Monday, as the Reuters news agency learned from a participant in the meeting. A second insider makes a similar statement. The EU with 27 member states and almost 450 million inhabitants has secured one billion vaccine doses from three manufacturers. However, experts warn that not every vaccine may be effective.
