In the 1970s, the truck driver Peter Sutcliffe terrified the north of England. At least 13 women fell victim to the “Yorkshire Ripper”. Now the serial killer dies. He previously refused treatment for his Covid 19 disease. The serial killer Peter Sutcliffe, known as the “Ripper of Yorkshire”, is dead. He died at the age of 74 in a hospital in Durham, according to the law enforcement agency. The offender, who had previously been detained in a maximum security prison, had tested positive for Corona, but had refused treatment for his Covid 19 disease.

The worst serial killers stranglers, slicers, cannibals

Between 1975 and 1980, Sutcliffe killed 13 women, mostly prostitutes, in the Yorkshire and Manchester areas of northern England. He had tried seven other women, but they survived the attempted murder. A later investigation suggests even more crimes. The truck driver later claimed that God ordered him to do bloodshed. The hunt for Sutcliffe was hampered by false letters and cassette messages from a free rider. After one of the largest manhunters in British history, he was caught in 1981 and sentenced to life in prison. Sutcliffe spent around 30 years in a screened hospital in south east England after being diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. In 1997 a fellow inmate tried to kill him, losing an eye. In 2010 the judiciary ruled that he would never be released. Six years later he was transferred to the maximum security prison. In addition to his corona infection, he is said to have recently suffered from heart disease, diabetes and obesity. The authorities did not say whether the corona infection was the cause of Sutcliffe’s death.
