Hypocrite Donald Trump – Corona “miracle drug” developed with cells from aborted babies

Donald Trump takes antibody drug: Government cracked down on research with aborted fetus cells

It was only in August that a Committee of the Ministry of Health voted not to resume funding for research into tissue from aborted fetuses. US President Amy Coney recently nominated Barrett as the next judge in the Supreme Court – she is considered a sharp opponent of abortion. How all of this will affect the support of the “Pro-Life” faction and evangelicals for Donald Trump may still have to be seen until the drug REGN-COV2 becomes more prominent. But for the time being it is kept silent.

Just a little over a week after his corona infection became known, Donald Trump wants to go public again. According to polls, he is behind Joe Biden in the running for the presidency. That’s why he wants to hold a rally in front of his supporters in Florida. His personal physician Sean Conley expects “the safe return of the president to public obligations” on Saturday (10/10/2020). Then it was ten days since the infection was found in Trump. Donald Trump himself also feels “perfect”. Due to the illness of Covid-19, which he called “God’s blessing”, he came across the treatment with antibodies. “I call it a cure,” said the US president of the drug, which is not available to ordinary people. But how this supposed remedy for the coronavirus was developed has a – in the USA – controversial history.

Donald Trump and the antibody drug: “miracle cure” against Corona – allegations of hypocrisy

The drug that Donald Trump took during his treatment for Covid-19 was apparently tested in cells obtained from aborted fetuses. The antibody cocktails are developed by Regeneron, a biotech company from New York. Within 24 hours, the US President felt “great” and described the drug as a “miracle of God”. Lawrence Goldstein of the University of California at San Diego does not find the matter so great. The scientist conducts research himself with fetal tissue. “It is outrageous hypocrisy” what Donald Trump is doing, quoted the Washington Post. In 2019, the US government had stopped funding research with fetal cells. Opponents of abortion hailed the decision as a great victory and thanked Trump for opposing the “outrageous and obnoxious” practice of “experimenting with sharing dead babies.”

But with Donald Trump’s disease of Covid-19, opinion in the White House seems to have changed. There were now no objections from the government. “Many opponents [of this research] looked the other way” when it was used on Regeneron and for a potential vaccine against the coronavirus, Goldstein said. Now Trump wants this remedy for every sick US citizen. It is not clear to what extent Donald Trump and his staff were informed about the development of REGN-COV2. The hypocrisy can be explained by sheer ignorance, claims the “Technology Review” of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the renowned university.
