Initially, eight general practitioners are in a first test phase in cooperation with vaccination centers, as a spokesman for the district of Northwest Mecklenburg said. The doctors had previously worked in mobile vaccination teams and had been trained in handling the vaccine. According to a report in the daily newspaper “Die Welt”, the first corona vaccinations for senior citizens were given in a family doctor’s practice in Neuburg near Wismar on Thursday. Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has the highest vaccination rate nationwide at 2.93 percent.
