A highly effective agent against the coronavirus has allegedly been discovered in Venezuela. A molecule called DR-10 destroys Covid-19 one hundred percent without causing side effects, the authoritarian President Nicolás Maduro announced in a speech. That was the result of a six-month study by the state research institute IVIC. Both he and the IVIC on Twitter incorrectly referred to Covid-19 as a virus – presumably they meant the coronavirus, which causes the disease Covid-19. The molecule has already been used to treat hepatitis C, human papillomavirus and Ebola, Maduro said. The process of approval by the World Health Organization (WHO) to offer this treatment to the world has already begun.
