In France, the number of new infections has risen to more than 10,000. The health authorities report 12,845 new infections within 24 hours. On Tuesday, only a good 8,000 new infections were registered – that was only half of the high of more than 16,000 last week. The French authorities are currently concerned about the increasing number of corona patients in intensive care units: 135 new patients were admitted nationwide within 24 hours. This means that there are currently more than 1230 patients in intensive care units in France.
