The Dutch royal couple are on vacation in Greece. Many think that is not okay: just a few days earlier, the government had urgently warned all citizens to stay at home and not travel. After only around 24 hours, the family broke off their vacation and traveled back to the Netherlands. Now the royal couple has apologized to the people: King Willem-Alexander regretted having violated the trust of the citizens in a joint video message with his wife Máxima, as well as the decision to go on vacation. He and his wife would continue to stand up for their country in the Corona crisis, he said in the embassy. “We stay involved, but we are not infallible.”
