In the Czech Republic, the parliament has approved an extension of the Corona emergency up to and including December 23rd. On Wednesday evening (December 9th) there were 53 MPs in Prague for this. 36 voted against this. With the proposal to extend the state of emergency by 30 days until January 11, the minority government of Prime Minister Andrei Babis could not prevail. The state of emergency enables the government to suspend fundamental rights such as freedom of assembly. Currently, up to ten people are allowed to meet indoors. There is an extensive mask requirement.
