The European Medicines Agency Ema expects the first application for a conditional marketing authorization of a corona vaccine “in the coming days”. Ema does not disclose which vaccine manufacturer it expects to submit the application from. However, the partners Biontech and Pfizer are the companies that are most advanced in the approval process with their Covid-19 vaccine. At the end of last week, they submitted the application for emergency approval to the US health authority FDA. The Ema began at the beginning of October with an ongoing review of the data from the approval-relevant study by Biontech and Pfizer.
