After just three days in hospital, US President Trump returns to the White House. And now he no longer has any symptoms, as his personal doctor announces. Trump himself speaks out through his favorite medium. According to his personal physician, US President Donald Trump, who is infected with the coronavirus, has “no more symptoms”. The president had a “restful first night” in the White House after his discharge from hospital, said Sean Conley. The 74-year-old no longer shows any symptoms of illness, his values are “stable” and all in all he is doing “extremely well”. Conley did not provide any information on possible further drug treatment for the president. Trump is sticking to the second TV duel with his challenger Joe Biden next week, regardless of his corona infection. “I’m looking forward to the debate on Thursday evening, October 15, in Miami,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “It is going to be great!” He also feels “great”.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Staff of the US Army, Mark Milley, went into quarantine after coming into contact with a corona infected person. This was reported from military circles. The Department of Defense confirmed that U.S. Coast Guard vice-commander Charles Ray had tested positive for the virus. He was in the Pentagon last week. All “potential close contacts” had therefore gone into quarantine and were tested in the morning. So far, none of the contact persons have shown symptoms of the disease. The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the operational capability of the army command was not restricted in any way.
On Monday he wasn’t over the hill
Chief of Staff Milley is also in quarantine.
President Trump was released on Monday evening after three days of treatment from the Walter Reed military hospital near the capital Washington. In the days before, there had been vague and contradicting information from his doctors and the White House about the state of health of the President. It is known, however, that Trump had a high fever and two times too low oxygen saturation in the blood. The 74-year-old, whose obesity is an additional risk factor in addition to age, was given an experimental antibody cocktail, the anti-inflammatory steroid dexamethasone and the antiviral remdesivir for treatment. His personal physician, Conley, said on Monday that Trump was “not completely over the top”, but that he met all the medical criteria for a discharge. In the White House there will also be “world-class medical care” for the president 24 hours a day.
