I’m a 25year old man struggling with the decision to enlist or not. I’m just worried that my reasons for enlisting are not really good and the last thing I want to do is waste mine or others time and energy. I guess I’m looking to you guys for your thoughts on it, recruiters seem to deceive. My family is full of service men and women going back to WW2 but I never really felt the call or want to go and fight in war. My immediate family are civilians (ie mom and dad) so it’s not like I feel the need to serve based off my family history. Lately I’ve been struggling in my personal life, I feel like I’m just running place. I like have no direction, I see myself getting lazier each day and depressed that things don’t work out. So I guess I’m looking to the service to give me that direction and guidance as well as whip my ass and force me to evolve into a stand up person. Give it to me straight, if it’s not a good reason I’d rather know.
