Eleven days before the US presidential election, more voters took advantage of the opportunity to vote early than before the 2016 election as a whole. According to data from the “U.S. Elections Project” by political scientist Michael McDonald of the University of Florida, more than 49.3 million Americans have already cast their votes – that’s more than a third of all votes in the election four years ago.
