Let’s talk about the US elections. I am particularly interested in the voting behavior of African Americans.

First of all, the US is sliding to the right. Many people there notice that. Friends keep asking me how to live in countries like Germany. There are many emigrants: to Canada, even to Mexico. If I compare Europe with my home country, this is a better choice. In the United States, the majority of blacks now vote for Democrats. The Democrats are the common man’s party, the Republicans have become the party of “big business”. That is why the Republicans are trying with all their might to prevent minorities such as blacks and Indians from voting. Trump knows full well: the Democrats have more supporters than the Republicans and postal voting makes voting easier. That’s what he’s scared of. And do you know what makes me so sad? That this country, “The Land of the Free”, is so racist down to its deepest roots. There is nowhere a memorial for the many dead Indians. And to remember the racism against black people, there is only one exhibition. And people are fed up with that. Statistics show that voter turnout has never been higher. People have now checked: Trump is a liar and a clown.
