In Poland, the number of daily new infections with the corona virus exceeded the 6000 mark for the first time. Within 24 hours, 6526 new cases were added, most of them in the region around the capital Warsaw (1188). The Polish Ministry of Health announced. 116 people died from the virus over the same period. There have been 3,217 deaths related to Covid-19 disease in Poland since the pandemic began. Poland is the only neighboring country of Germany that has not yet been fully or partially classified as a risk area by the Foreign Office in Berlin. Since Saturday, it has been mandatory to wear a mask in public across the country – even outdoors.
