The number of new infections on Monday was 252. The total number of infections recorded so far has now risen to 19,033. The 7-day incidence, i.e. the weekly infection rate, is now 71.5 per 100,000 inhabitants – and thus well above the threshold value of 50. The rate is highest in the Neukölln district, followed by Mitte and Tempelhof-Schöneberg. 49 infected people are currently being treated in an intensive care unit in Berlin – an increase of 5 compared to the previous day. Of the total available intensive care beds, 3.8 percent are occupied by Covid 19 patients.
