Some may agree and some may disagree. But living in Texas and having served in the military, I personally believe schools should allow veterans who meet a certain criteria i.e honorably discharged, good conduct, etc to serve as guards for school. There are a lot of veterans in need of jobs. Some I know personally who are generally good people but just struggle with jobs. Sure, you can find a job if you absolutely look hard enough. But with all the recent school shootings, overwhelmed police departments that are understaffed or under budgeted. It only makes a lick of sense. That’s just my shower thoughts. Would love some weigh in on the topic.
