The Bron­cos defense got off to a great start on Sun­day when Bron­cos safe­ty Justin Sim­mons picked off Charg­ers quar­ter­back Justin Her­bert on Los Ange­les’ open­ing drive.

Sim­mons returned the inter­cep­tion down to the 16-yard-line.

The inter­cep­tion gave the Bron­cos a great chance to get into the end zone ear­ly, but Den­ver set­tled for a field goal to take a 3–0 lead in the first quarter.
