Trump threatens to lose the election and his Twitter status

Donald Trump’s Twitter account could be quieter from mid-January. It is not necessarily to be expected that Trump would also stop tweeting in the event that he loses the US election. However, in the case, the rules according to which his account is treated will change, writes the US media service Bloomberg. At the moment, the US president can afford to break the rules with aggressive, abusive or otherwise abusive tweets — with a few exceptions — unlike other users. Twitter’s principle here is that a head of state’s tweet has public value even if it violates the rules of conduct. But this special treatment does not apply to ex-heads of state. Since the polling stations closed, the president has sent eight tweets violating Twitter rules. The news service hides them behind a warning label that you can click away. If Trump, as ex-president, should continue tweeting in the familiar way if he is voted out of office, his account could be temporarily frozen or shut down after a few rule violations.
