The elec­tion in the co-deter­min­ing state of Ari­zona is a big step clos­er to a deci­sion. After hours of wait­ing, the most pop­u­lous con­stituen­cy, Mari­co­pa Coun­ty, is report­ing tens of thou­sands of votes at once. Don­ald Trump can fur­ther reduce his deficit on Joe Biden in the state, but the trend speaks more for Biden. The Demo­c­rat receives around 31,000 more votes, the Repub­li­can incum­bent around 38,000, as report­ed by CNN. This brings Trump up to almost 30,000 votes to Biden. But: Although Trump usu­al­ly got a lit­tle more votes than Biden in the most recent counts, he would have to dras­ti­cal­ly improve his quo­ta for the votes still remain­ing in the coun­ty in order to catch up with the Democ­rats. Accord­ing to CNN, this is “sta­tis­ti­cal­ly unlike­ly”. Nev­er­the­less, the race remains “too close to call” for the time being.
