Trump has lost Twitter followers since his election defeat — Biden wins many more — - today

Another setback for Donald Trump: Since he lost the election to Joe Biden, the incumbent US president has also lost Twitter followers — the elected President Biden, on the other hand, has gained a lot of followers. The “Guardian” reports with reference to Factbase, a website that follows Trump’s public statements. Accordingly, Trump has already lost 133,902 followers since November 17. Biden, on the other hand, has since gained 1,156,610 followers. Nevertheless, Trump with around 88.8 million followers still has more than four times as many followers as Biden with around 20.2 million.

Trump exerts pressure on the governor of Georgia — he should use “emergency powers”
Trump continues his fight for the lost US election in new tweets. He addressed two of them to the Republican governor of the US state of Georgia, Brian Kemp. Trump reiterates his demand that in Georgia the signatures of all votes cast by postal vote should be verified again. Why doesn’t Kemp use his “emergency powers” to “get the signatures on the envelopes checked?” Tweeted Trump. To finish with a “Get it done!” to postpone: “Do it!” But there is a catch: the signatures were compared with the signatures deposited with the authorities when the envelopes were opened. Thereafter, the envelopes were separated from the ballot papers due to voting secrecy. There is no way to bring both pieces of paper back together. So if wrong signatures were to appear, it would be impossible to say which voice it would concern. Trump supporter and US Senator Lindsey Graham is said to have already suggested to throw away all ballot papers from those districts in which there were particularly frequent discrepancies between the signatures on the envelope and those deposited with the authorities. However, Graham denied the allegations.

Biden confirms Yellen’s nomination as US Treasury Secretary
Former Federal Reserve chief Janet Yellen is slated to become Treasury Secretary under President-elect Joe Biden. That confirmed Biden’s transition team. If confirmed by the Senate, the 74-year-old would become the first woman in US history to take over the leadership of the Treasury.

Trump reveals who he is actually fighting for
For the first time, US President Donald Trump speaks out today via Twitter — but with several messages. In his first tweet he emphasizes that his efforts — apparently he means his repeated announcements to uncover massive electoral fraud — are not about him: “I am not fighting for myself. I am fighting for the 74 million people (…) who chose me. ”

Ex-boss for US electoral security: Trump’s election fraud allegations are supposed to “scare people”
Almost four weeks after the US election, the incumbent President Donald Trump and some of his prominent supporters never tire of making new allegations of election fraud and denouncing an alleged conspiracy. Chris Krebs, who headed CISA’s electoral security agency before he was fired by Trump, put it this way: “What I saw was an obvious attempt to undermine confidence in the election, to confuse and frighten people “said Krebs to the US television station CBS on the show” 60 Minutes “. Trump and his allies are “undermining democracy,” warned Krebs. The current president immediately called the interview on Twitter “ridiculous, one-sided [and] an international joke”.
