Today is Veteran’s Day in Norway. Veteran’s Day is a Norwegian celebratory day introduced by the Norwegian government to strengthen the recognition of the efforts of military veterans . The celebration is on the 8th of May, the day of liberation from the Nazis during the Second World War. Veterans Day honors participants in World War II , as well as those who have served in UN peacekeeping forces and other international operations.
