In the USA, the count­ing of the remain­ing votes, main­ly sub­mit­ted by postal vote, con­tin­ues dur­ing the night. Joe Biden is in the lead for the first time in the state of Geor­gia and new fig­ures are also being uploaded from Penn­syl­va­nia, most of which go to the Democ­rats. Mean­while, the con­test­ed states of Neva­da and Ari­zona will only give new results on Fri­day (local time). The big dif­fer­ence: The race is close in Geor­gia and Penn­syl­va­nia, and every­thing indi­cates that Biden will win there. In Ari­zona and Neva­da, on the oth­er hand, Biden already has a rea­son­ably com­fort­able lead and there is no trend towards los­ing that lead. So it comes as no sur­prise that Biden’s team is push­ing ahead with the prepa­ra­tions for their candidate’s vic­to­ry speech. At least that’s what the Wash­ing­ton Times reports from Biden’s home in Wilm­ing­ton in the state of Delaware.
