In Swe­den, the coro­n­avirus-relat­ed death mark has exceed­ed 6,000. As the health author­i­ty FOHM announced, the num­ber of new infec­tions has risen rapid­ly in recent weeks. Almost ten per­cent of the peo­ple test­ed were pos­i­tive last week. Two weeks ago it was report­ed­ly 5.6 per­cent. On Thurs­day, a total of 141,764 infect­ed and 6002 dead were shown in the offi­cial coro­na sta­tis­tics. This also results in 314 new­ly infect­ed peo­ple per 100,000 inhab­i­tants in the past 14 days. Swe­den has gone a sep­a­rate way since the begin­ning of the pan­dem­ic and is count­ing on its res­i­dents to vol­un­tar­i­ly fol­low the rec­om­men­da­tions for con­ta­gion pre­ven­tion. In ten regions peo­ple are cur­rent­ly asked to have as lit­tle social con­tact as pos­si­ble and to avoid shop­ping cen­ters, muse­ums, con­certs and local pub­lic transport.
