The Czech government is expanding the use of the army to support the health sector in the corona crisis. Instead of the previous 360, up to 900 soldiers are now to help out in hospitals and old people’s homes, as the cabinet decided. Meanwhile, help also came from abroad: Two intensive care physicians from the Bundeswehr had arrived to support the Central Military Hospital in Prague, the Czech Ministry of Defense announced. Six British doctors and a team of doctors from the US National Guard experienced in dealing with Corona were also expected.
