For­mer Sudanese Prime Min­is­ter Sadek el Mah­di has died of coro­n­avirus infec­tion three weeks after being hos­pi­tal­ized in the Unit­ed Arab Emi­rates. This was announced by the fam­i­ly and the par­ty of the deceased. The 84-year-old Mah­di was Sudan’s last demo­c­ra­t­i­cal­ly elect­ed Prime Min­is­ter and was over­thrown in a mil­i­tary coup in 1989.
