South Korea is paus­ing the strict coro­na require­ments for the greater Seoul area. The author­i­ties said that restau­rants in the cap­i­tal are also allowed to serve food after 9 p.m. In addi­tion, leisure facil­i­ties such as fit­ness stu­dios and inter­net cafes are like­ly to reopen. The eas­ing should help strength­en the econ­o­my. With the start of the hol­i­days on Sep­tem­ber 28th, stricter mea­sures would take effect again. The Cen­ter for Dis­ease Con­trol report­ed 121 new cas­es for all of South Korea on Sat­ur­day, bring­ing the total num­ber of infec­tions to 22,176. So far, 358 peo­ple have died in con­nec­tion with Covid 19 disease.
