The Pales­tin­ian chief nego­tia­tor in the Mid­dle East con­flict, Saeb Erekat, has died of Covid-19, accord­ing to the President’s Office. The AFP reports. On Octo­ber 18, the Pales­tine Lib­er­a­tion Orga­ni­za­tion (PLO) announced that Erekat need­ed treat­ment in a hos­pi­tal in Jerusalem for chron­ic res­pi­ra­to­ry prob­lems caused by lung disease.
