A man died after being stabbed Mon­day after­noon in Aurora.

At about 4:40 p.m., offi­cers respond­ed to 1635 S. Mobile St. and found a man suf­fer­ing from “knife wounds,” accord­ing to a news release. He was tak­en to a local hos­pi­tal where he died.

“All involved par­ties have been iden­ti­fied, and there is no threat to the com­mu­ni­ty,” police said. “It is not yet known what occurred that led up to the fatal stabbing.”

The inci­dent is being inves­ti­gat­ed as a homi­cide. Police did not say if any­one had been arrested.
