Since these are hardly observed, the police stop the train, the organizer then ends it. The organizers of a rally against the state corona measures in Munich prematurely canceled their demonstration through the city. The police had previously stopped the train because more than the 500 participants were there and, according to the police, hardly anyone was wearing a mask.

The police spoke of “many hundreds” of participants, but could not yet give any more specific figures. A main rally on the Theresienwiese should take place at 4 p.m. as planned. The police were on duty with 1,400 troops. The week before, there had been riots at a similar rally in Berlin. Before the demonstration in Munich there was a legal tug-of-war. The authorities and the Munich Administrative Court initially forbade the protest march, which was then overturned by the higher authority. However, strict requirements regarding distance and the wearing of mouth and nose protection were issued. The administrative court also lifted the restriction on the number of participants for the subsequently planned rally on Theresienwiese. This had previously been limited to 1,000 by the administrative court. The administrative court ruled against it that there is no fixed upper limit, but “what matters is that the hygiene regulations can be complied with”.
The police also deployed strong forces in Hanover. Around noon, she spoke of 350 participants, but expected 2000 at the march and a subsequent meeting by evening. One speaker spoke of a “fake pandemic”. A private initiative had reported the “Walk to freedom”. At the same time, several counter-demonstrations were planned, for example by the Left Youth and the German Federation of Trade Unions.
