Lib­er­ty Uni­ver­si­ty is open­ing an inde­pen­dent inves­ti­ga­tion into Jer­ry Fal­well Jr.’s tenure as pres­i­dent, a wide-rang­ing inquiry that will include finan­cial, real estate and legal mat­ters, the evan­gel­i­cal school’s board announced Monday.
