Japan will ban for­eign nation­als from enter­ing the coun­try from Mon­day through the end of Jan­u­ary after sev­er­al cas­es of the new Covid-19 vari­ant were record­ed in the coun­try, the Japan­ese for­eign min­istry said in a state­ment on Saturday.
