Near­ly two dozen GOP law­mak­ers, led by Sen. Ted Cruz (R‑Texas), have called on the Food and Drug Admin­is­tra­tion to clas­si­fy the abor­tion pill RU-486, also known as mifepri­s­tone, as an “immi­nent haz­ard to the pub­lic health.”
