In Georgia, Joe Biden can almost double his lead over Donald Trump: In the latest update from the contested swing state, the difference between the two opponents grew from around 4400 votes to currently 7,248 votes. This means that election observers see a real chance for Georgia that if Biden wins the election, the result will be so clear that it does not have to be automatically re-counted. Automatic recounting becomes necessary if there is a difference of 0.5 percent or less. CNN sees the surprisingly good course for Biden due, among other things, to the fact that a large number of black voters voted for Biden. Georgia sends 16 voters to the electoral body and is a “must win” for Trump. Without a victory in the traditionally republican state, Trump has no chance of winning the election.
