At the start of the vac­ci­na­tion cam­paign in France, the Min­istry of Health report­ed a sharp increase in the num­ber of cas­es. In the past 24 hours, 8822 new infec­tions were reg­is­tered after 3039 on Sat­ur­day. Over­all, the coun­try has just under 2.6 mil­lion cas­es. The num­ber of Covid-19-relat­ed deaths report­ed recent­ly rose 173 to 62,746.
