France — Paris is considering sales ban to protect against new corona infections for alcohol from 8 p.m.

In Paris there could soon be a ban on the sale of alco­hol from 8 p.m. This mea­sure is cur­rent­ly being dis­cussed in the secu­ri­ty cab­i­net under the lead­er­ship of French Pres­i­dent Emmanuel Macron, reports the AFP. In addi­tion, as in oth­er French cities, gath­er­ings of more than ten peo­ple — for exam­ple in parks and squares — could be pro­hib­it­ed, the same applies to large events with more than a thou­sand par­tic­i­pants. Rent­ing halls for pri­vate cel­e­bra­tions or wed­dings could also be pro­hib­it­ed by the authorities.
