In Estonia, the number of new corona infections has reached a new high of 241 cases within 24 hours. Most of these were recorded in the capital Tallinn and the surrounding region. This was announced by the health authority in Tallinn. The previous record was 208 cases. Authority head Üllar Lanno said a radio report in Tallinn said the level of infection had increased across the country. Estonia, with a population of 1.3 million, has so far recorded 5,705 confirmed corona infections and 73 deaths related to the virus. According to the EU authority ECDC, the Baltic state is one of the currently less affected countries in Europe, despite the increasing number of cases.
