In the fight against the coro­na pan­dem­ic, Eng­land is intro­duc­ing heavy fines for vio­lat­ing the pro­tec­tion rules. Any­one who dis­re­gards the iso­la­tion require­ment after a pos­i­tive coro­na test or after being asked by the health author­i­ties, for exam­ple, must expect a fine of up to 10,000 pounds — the equiv­a­lent of around 11,000 euros — as the British gov­ern­ment announced. The new reg­u­la­tions will apply from Sep­tem­ber 28th.
