The Euro­pean Med­i­cines Agency Ema expects the first appli­ca­tion for a con­di­tion­al mar­ket­ing autho­riza­tion of a coro­na vac­cine “in the com­ing days”. Ema does not dis­close which vac­cine man­u­fac­tur­er it expects to sub­mit the appli­ca­tion from. How­ev­er, the part­ners Bion­tech and Pfiz­er are the com­pa­nies that are most advanced in the approval process with their Covid-19 vac­cine. At the end of last week, they sub­mit­ted the appli­ca­tion for emer­gency approval to the US health author­i­ty FDA. The Ema began at the begin­ning of Octo­ber with an ongo­ing review of the data from the approval-rel­e­vant study by Bion­tech and Pfizer.
