A 25-year-old Com­merce City woman has been arrest­ed as a first-degree mur­der sus­pect in a shoot­ing death.

After Detec­tives inter­viewed Ash­ley White she was arrest­ed and the fol­low­ing charges have been submitted:

•Mur­der 1st degree, a class 1 felony
•Tam­per­ing With Phys­i­cal Evi­dence, a class 6 felony

On Fri­day at about 11:10 a.m., Adams Coun­ty Sheriff’s deputies respond­ed to the 6000 block of East 80th Avenue and a report of an “uncon­scious and unre­spon­sive per­son with gun­shot wounds,” accord­ing to a news release. Deputies found a dead man inside the residence.

Ash­ley Eliz­a­beth White, who resided at the home with her boyfriend, the vic­tim, has been arrest­ed as a sus­pect, the sheriff’s office said.

She is being inves­ti­gat­ed for first-degree mur­der and tam­per­ing with phys­i­cal evi­dence, the release said. White is being held at the Adams Coun­ty Jail.
