Class 5A

1. Cher­ry Creek (2–1) at High­land Park (Texas), 7 p.m. Fri­day. Next week: vs. No. 10 Pine Creek, 7 p.m. Sept. 27.

2. Moun­tain Vista (4–0) Bye: After ram­pag­ing through their first four games with a com­bined scor­ing mar­gin of 215–18, the Gold­en Eagles get a week to recu­per­ate ahead of the sec­ond half of the sea­son. Next week: at Over­land, 7 p.m. Sept. 26.

3. Columbine (4–0) won vs. 4A No. 6 Vista Ridge, 42–7: The Rebels chewed up 357 yards on the ground, with the two-head­ed back­field of senior James Basinger (14 car­ries, 129 yards, 3 TDs) and junior Mark Sny­der (16–136, 2 TDs) both top­ping 100 yards in a rout. The trio of Azriel Anzo, Oliv­er Stef­fen and Will Mon­roe each had one sack apiece for a Columbine defense that shut out Vista Ridge for the first three quar­ters while build­ing a 35–0 lead. 4. Val­or Chris­t­ian (3–0) at Mullen, 7 p.m. Fri­day. Next week: vs. No. 6 Ral­ston Val­ley, 7 p.m. Sept. 27.

5. Leg­end (3–1) Bye: The Titans get their Week 0 bye ahead of a tough matchup with unde­feat­ed Cas­tle View next Fri­day at EchoPark Sta­di­um. Next week: Next week: vs. No. 8 Cas­tle View, 7 p.m. Sept. 27.

6. Ral­ston Val­ley (4–0) won vs. Thun­der­Ridge, 39–2: Sopho­more Colton Strat­man ran in a pair of touch­downs, junior quar­ter­back Zeke Andrews had one touch­down pass­ing and anoth­er on the ground, and the Mus­tangs defense pro­duce a safe­ty to move to 4–0 for the first time since Matt Loyd’s final year as head coach in 2021. Next week: at No. 4 Val­or Chris­t­ian, 7 p.m. Sept. 27.

7. Chat­field (3–0) vs. Brighton, 7:30 p.m. Fri­day. Next week: at Dou­glas Coun­ty, 7 p.m. Sept. 27.

8. Cas­tle View (4–0) won at Dou­glas Coun­ty, 37–16: After falling behind 16–0, the Saber­cats ripped off 37 unan­swered points to claim the Bat­tle of the Rock for the eighth time in 10 meet­ings. Seniors Austin Per­ry (25 car­ries, 167 yards) and Cam­den Tobler (15–106) both topped 100 yards on the ground, with the lat­ter scor­ing three touch­downs. Zach Bit­ton added an inter­cep­tion for the Cas­tle View defense, which has allowed 29 total points through four games. Next week: at No. 5 Leg­end, 7 p.m. Sept. 27.

9. Fairview (3–0) at Monarch, 7 p.m. Fri­day. Next week: vs. Smoky Hill, 7 p.m. Sept. 27.

Class 4A

1. Palmer Ridge (4–0) won at Long­mont, 49–14: The Bears rolled up 329 yards on the ground, led by senior Avier Elvira’s 6‑carry, 106-yard night, and senior QB Car­son Camp­bell threw a pair of TDs and ran for anoth­er to cruise to 4–0 to start the sea­son. Sev­en dif­fer­ent play­ers scored touch­downs for the Bears, who have now won 28 straight reg­u­lar-sea­son games dat­ing back to the 2021 sea­son. Next week: vs. No. 8 Mesa Ridge, 7 p.m. Sept. 27.

2. Broom­field (3–0) vs. Lega­cy, 7 p.m. Fri­day. Next week: vs. Erie, 7 p.m. Sept. 27.

3. Mon­trose (3–0) vs. Grand Junc­tion Cen­tral, 7 p.m. Fri­day. Next week: at Frui­ta Mon­u­ment, 6 p.m. Sept. 26.

4. Pueblo West (4–0) Bye: The Cyclones have post­ed three con­sec­u­tive 7–5 sea­sons, but after first 4–0 start in five years, they appear primed for much more. Next week: at No. 6 Vista Ridge, 7 p.m. Sept. 27.

5. Dako­ta Ridge (3–1) won at 3A No. 3 Pomona, 34–12: The Pan­thers’ Luis San­tana returned the open­ing kick­off for a touch­down, but the Dako­ta Ridge defense stood tall after that to win the schools’ first meet­ing on a foot­ball field in 21 years. Blake Bish­op returned an inter­cep­tion 40-plus yards for the go-ahead score in the sec­ond quar­ter, spark­ing a 27-point run that all but put the game away enter­ing the fourth. Next week: vs. Chero­kee Trail, 7 p.m. Sept. 27

6. Vista Ridge (3–1) lost at 5A No. 3 Columbine, 42–7: The Wolves ran into a 5A buz­z­saw in their first loss of the sea­son. The defend­ing 5A cham­pi­ons kept Vista Ridge out of the end zone until the fourth quar­ter, long after Columbine’s ground-and-pound attack put the game away. Next week: vs. No. 4 Pueblo West, 7 p.m. Sept. 27.

7. Her­itage (2–1) at No. 8 Mesa Ridge, 7 p.m. Fri­day. Next week: vs. 5A No. 3 Columbine, 7 p.m. Sept. 27.

8. Mesa Ridge (2–1) vs. No. 7 Her­itage, 7 p.m. Fri­day. Next week: at No. 1 Palmer Ridge, 7 p.m. Sept. 27.
