Because of Covid-19 meetings in L.A. prohibited for at least three weeks — - today

In view of the increasing number of corona infections, the authorities in the US city of Los Angeles are temporarily prohibiting meetings of people from different households. The order will come into effect on Monday for at least three weeks and affect public and private gatherings, the health authority said. A statement said local residents were advised to “stay at home as much as possible until December 20. According to this, church services and demonstrations are exempt from the ban, since they are “constitutionally protected rights”. This week, Los Angeles exceeded the mark of 4,500 new corona infections within 24 hours. In total, more than 7,600 people died in connection with a corona infection in the second largest city in the United States.
