A 75-year-old woman has died after sus­tain­ing injuries from an auto-pedes­tri­an crash Sun­day in Auro­ra, accord­ing to Auro­ra police.

At 5:22 p.m., police respond­ed to the crash, which occurred near East Col­fax Avenue and Clin­ton Street. Accord­ing to the inves­ti­ga­tion, the woman did not use a cross­walk when she was struck by the black GMC Yukon. She lat­er died at a hospital.

The woman’s iden­ti­ty will be released by the Adams Coun­ty Coroner’s Office “after a pos­i­tive iden­ti­fi­ca­tion has been made, and her next-of-kin has been noti­fied,” accord­ing to police.

UPDATE: Trag­i­cal­ly the adult female pedes­tri­an suc­cumbed to her injuries and this is now being inves­ti­gat­ed as a fatal traf­fic crash. The road remains closed, please stay out of area. No fur­ther details at this time, a press release will be pro­vid­ed in the com­ing hours.
