More and more cen­tral banks around the world are in the ear­ly stages of cre­at­ing dig­i­tal cur­ren­cies. Fed­er­al Reserve Chair­man Jerome Pow­ell told the House Finan­cial Ser­vices Com­mit­tee in March that the Fed had already begun test­ing a dig­i­tal dollar.
