US President Donald Trump has announced that the coronavirus pandemic will end soon. “The pandemic will soon be over,” said Trump during a campaign appearance in the southwestern state of Arizona. Liberal channels like CNN only talked about the pandemic, Trump shouted to the cheers of his conservative supporters: “People are fed up with the pandemic. Do you know that? They are fed up with the pandemic”. Trump’s forecast of an imminent end to the corona pandemic, however, contradicts developments in the country. The number of new infections recently rose again to around 50,000 per day, and the trend is rising.
