Due to the rapidly increasing number of infections with the corona virus, the Slovenian health department has stopped tracking the contacts of people who tested positive. One is no longer able to cope with the large number of cases, it said. However, those who have tested positive will continue to be informed of their infection by the health department. At the same time, they are instructed to go into quarantine and inform their relevant contacts independently. In the EU country Slovenia, 726 new infections with the corona virus were known on Sunday and 897 the day before. The number of active cases in the country with two million inhabitants has almost doubled within a week. The number of people infected in the last 14 days per 100,000 inhabitants was given on Sunday as 317. According to official information, 13,151 people have been infected with the Sar-CoV-2 virus, which can cause the lung disease Covid-19, since the pandemic began in March. 187 of them died as a result of corona disease.
